Manajemen Contextual Teaching and Learning Berbasis Karakter dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pembelajaran Matematika
The problem in this research relates to the decrease in the quality education of mathematics seen based on national examination during the year 2015-2016 in SMPN bandung. Beside that, still weak ability of teachers in implementing all aspects of learning to students such as: attitudes, knowledge, and skills lead to increasingly declining quality of character students every year. In General, this research aims to know the description of the planning, implementation, assessment, and related constraints with application management contextual teaching and learning-based characters in improving the quality of learning mathematics at the Bandung State Junior High School. This research uses qualitative descriptive method by means of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation study. Based on the analysis of data obtained conclusions that: 1) planning activities in the management of contextual teaching and learning is character-based crafting learning devices include: the annual programs, semester, syllabus, the plan of implementation of the learning, and the minimum criteria; 2 implementation in management activities of contextual teaching and learning-based character can be reached through the existing activities in the RPP was started by doing: activity introduction, core learning activities, and activities cover; 3) activities assessment management in contextual teaching and learning-based character can be reached through a process of assessment of the attitudes, knowledge, and skills of learners; 4) Constraints faced by all parties in the contextual teaching and learning management character based, among other things: (a) have not been providing a complete infrastructure and facilities such as: mathematical and props infokus in every class; (b) the use of contextual teaching and learning based character are still not applied periodically in mathematics lessons; (c) the readiness of teachers in teaching must be increasingly optimized.
