Studi Deskriptif Pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Di Kota Bandung
Development of human resources has a very important meaning for the success and sustainability of a nation's development. Therefore, the development and improvement of human resources is absolutely necessary. In the context of human resource development, education has a strategic position, quality education becomes an important need in the era of increasingly competitive global competition. One of the government's efforts to make quality education is through improving School Literacy Action. School Literacy Action (GLS) needs to get attention from the school, for example School Literacy Action held in Junior High School in Bandung. One of the most important and fundamental is the ability of schools in carrying out their leadership through management functions. Therefore, this study intends to further examine the principal's leadership in improving the school literacy Action. The approach in this research is qualitative approach, the method used is descriptive method. The research object is Junior High School in Bandung. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of planning, organizing, actuating and controling the principal's leadership in improving school literacy Action. Based on the results of the research shows the leadership of the headmaster is quite good, organizing the principal has been done well by the School Literacy Team (TLS), the implementation of the literacy action in schools is at the stage of habituation and supervision of the principal well done.
